Student Grievance and Redressal Committee (SGRC)

Aurora's Degree & PG College has established a Student Grievance and Redressal Committee (SGRC) to provide a fair, transparent, and effective mechanism for addressing the grievances of students. The committee aims to ensure that students have a supportive platform to express their concerns regarding academic and non-academic matters and to resolve them in a timely manner.

The committee functions as an institutional support system that receives, examines, and addresses grievances submitted by students. It ensures that all complaints are handled with confidentiality, impartiality, and sensitivity while maintaining a harmonious and conducive learning environment on the campus.

Objectives

  • To provide a formal mechanism for students to express their grievances.
  • To address and resolve complaints related to academic, administrative, and campus-related matters.
  • To ensure transparency, fairness, and accountability in grievance handling.
  • To analyze complaints and recommend appropriate actions to the concerned authorities.
  • To encourage students to provide suggestions for improving institutional processes and student welfare.

Scope of Grievances

The committee addresses issues such as:

  • Academic concerns including evaluation and classroom-related issues
  • Administrative or service-related problems
  • Infrastructure and facilities-related concerns
  • Student welfare and campus environment issues
  • Any other grievance affecting student life in the institution

Grievance Redressal Mechanism

Students can submit their grievances through:

  • Written complaints to the committee members
  • Suggestion or complaint boxes placed at various locations on the campus
  • Communication through the concerned department or mentor
  • Filling Google form available it www.adc.edu.in

Grievances are first reviewed at the departmental level by mentors or Heads of Departments. If the issue remains unresolved, it is referred to the Student Grievance and Redressal Committee, which examines the matter and recommends appropriate action to the college administration. The committee ensures that every complaint is addressed promptly and confidentially.

Constitution of Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC)

Academic Year: 2025–26

In accordance with the provisions laid down by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and as per the guidelines of Osmania University, the Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) is hereby constituted in the college to address the grievances of students and to ensure a safe, fair, and supportive academic environment.

The SGRC shall function for the academic year 2025–26 with immediate effect. The composition of the committee is as follows:

The Committee is entrusted with the responsibility of receiving, addressing, and resolving grievances from students in a timely and confidential manner as per the norms prescribed by UGC and the affiliating university.
