Equal Opportunity Cell

The Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC) of Aurora’s Degree & PG College is established to ensure equity, inclusiveness, and equal access to opportunities for all students and staff members of the institution. The cell works to eliminate discrimination and promote a supportive academic environment for individuals belonging to diverse social, economic, and cultural backgrounds.

The cell functions in accordance with the guidelines of the University Grants Commission to safeguard the interests of students from SC/ST, OBC, minority communities, economically weaker sections, and persons with disabilities.

Objectives

The Equal Opportunity Cell aims to:

• Promote equal access to education and institutional facilities for all students.
• Ensure that there is no discrimination on the basis of caste, gender, religion, disability, or socio-economic background.
• Support students belonging to marginalized and underrepresented groups.
• Create awareness about constitutional rights, government schemes, and scholarships.
• Provide guidance and support to students facing issues related to discrimination or inequality.

Functions of the Cell

The Equal Opportunity Cell performs the following functions:

• Ensure fair and equal treatment of all students and staff within the institution.
• Address issues related to discrimination or inequality.
• Provide information about scholarships, government welfare schemes, and academic support programs.
• Conduct awareness programs, seminars, and workshops on equality, diversity, and inclusion.
• Support students with special needs or disabilities by facilitating necessary assistance.
